James Stiller

May 26, 1963 ~ March 5, 2017 (age 53) 53 Years Old
James J. Stiller passed away peacefully March 5, 2017, in his home in Martin City at the age of 53, after an incredibly brave bought with cancer.
James was born in Glendive. His parents were Tom and Marge Stiller and they called him Jimmy. He moved to the Flathead Valley over 20 years ago where he found a deep inspiration for living among the mountains, rivers, lakes, trees and wildlife.
James had a beautiful, pure spirit and was closely connected with nature. He was greatly intelligent and spoke with a unique vocabulary and from a wealth of knowledge. A conversation with him was sure to fascinate. His sense of humor was amazing, sharp and witty. Whether he was impersonating in one of his many different accents, expressing his view of life in animation, or just an out-of-nowhere joke, time spent with James came with laughter. James was a raw, real and strong person. He overcame the many obstacles that challenged his life and maintained a wonderment for living that was inspirational and admirable. He enjoyed listening to music, riding and working on motorcycles, bicycling and taking in the serenity of the Montana outdoors. Anyone who knew James Stiller was graced by his presence in this world and will surely carry on his bright spirit.
His surviving siblings are Tom Stiller, Laverne Stiller, Marlene Brown and Shirley Taraba.
James was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls. A mass in his honor will be held there at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15. Please join us to celebrate his life.
