I am saddened with the passing of Myrt and want to pass my condolences to all his friends and family.
We became friends on the football field in high school and went on to share many campfires. Our duck hunts have to be considered “classics”, times I will never forget. When life took us in different directions we stayed in contact, talking about drifting the Flathead in Montana and the Trinity in California. I will always remember his passion for the bears in Montana, “don’t mess with my bears!”. Don’t worry Brother Webb, we won’t.

Please accept my condolences for the death of Myrt. He was a favored classmate of mine at Lennox High in California, and shared in common that we were raised in Denver. I have many fun memories of my friendship with Myrt, including riding on the back of his motorcycle, holding on for life, with our books, as we sped to school. (Kids didn't use backpacks for books in those days.) In Latin class, Myrt loved stories about the Roman army, as we enjoyed the challenges of translating "Caesar's Commentaries" into English.

After high school, I saw Myrt just once, when my wife and I had lunch with him and his wife Sharon a few years before she passed. My brother lives in Kalispell, so I know why Myrt loved Montana so much.

Best wishes to all of his family as life goes on for you. I will miss him, too.
