Michael Schilling

Michael G. Schilling, 70, passed away Wednesday, May 19th in Kalispell.  He was born March 8, 1951 in Havre, MT to George and Elizabeth (Betty) McCormick.  After the untimely death of his father, he was later adopted by Jacob Schilling.
He was raised in Columbia Falls, graduating from high school in 1969. He graduated from Glendive Comm. College with a 2 yr degree in criminal justice. He spent a few years working at the Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls, then going to work at Flathead County as a custodian for thirty years. Mike could always be seen walking all over the county on foot or on his bike.  His love of walking every day was important to him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father George McCormick, mother Betty Schilling,  father Jacob Schilling, sister Sandi Schilling, and brother Randy Schilling. He is survived by his sister, MaryBeth (Will) Arnold, his nieces Brooke (Mike) Brennan, and Maggie (Ean) McClure, and great niece Eirelyn McClure.
Funeral will be held at the VFW Club in Whitefish on Thursday, May 27th at 11:30 am. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family.
