Lorn W. Carvey

Lorn W Carvey, age 79, of Eureka, Mt passed away April 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born July 19th, 1944 in Eureka, Mt to the late Floyd Carvey and Myrtle Carvey (Wunderlich).

Lorn grew up in Eureka working as a logger. At the early age of 13, Lorn took his first paying job at Gwynn Lumber to help provide for his family.   He met his wonderful wife in 1964, they were married on June 4, 1966 and from there started their family.  He moved his family to Alaska for work.  They spent a couple of years there and a year or two in Helena and Whitefish, Mt.  Eventually he decided to make it back home to Eureka.  He could do anything he set his mind to and was an extremely hard worker.  After a few years, Lorn started sawing and it became his forever profession.  He had a huge heart and was an amazing family man.  Lorn’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandkids.  He also had a love for old westerns. 

Lorn is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlene Rae Carvey; children: Lisa Carvey, Lonny Carvey (Melody), Laci Hader (Randy), Cassie Marcussen (Josh); 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren #32 Great Grandbaby Young arriving September 2024, and #33 Great Grandbaby arriving November 2024 and 5 great-great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Lorn is preceded in death by Grandson, Zac Carvey; and Great Granddaugter, Brylee Gardner and 10 siblings.
