Karen Wrzesien, 69, loving friend and mother, died peacefully on Wednesday Sep. 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born to Leslie and Eleanor Myers on Sep. 15, 1950 in Cut Bank, Montana. She lived in numerous towns across Montana and Alaska before meeting the love of her life, Ed Wrzesien, while working in Great Falls in 1970. They married on May 15, 1971 then moved to Buffalo, New York soon after. In 1980, they returned to Montana where their son Edward David was born.
Karen worked at several restaurants and hotels in Whitefish before starting her own business in 2000. Known for her generous and compassionate spirit, Karen enjoyed hosting parties, going to concerts, fishing, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her son Edward, siblings John, Sheila, Roberta, and Deborah, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, countless relatives and friends, and her extended family in Laughlin, NV.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A celebration of Karen’s life will take place at the Moose Lodge in Whitefish on October 6 at 1PM.
