Judy J Morken

August 13, 1942 ~ June 7, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Judy JoAnn (Ross) Morken was born in Plentywood, MT on August 13, 1942. She graduated from Plentywood High School in 1960 and attended business school in Texas. She took a job in the Pentagon where she worked for a year. After moving back to Plentywood, she actively pursued the love of her life, David Morken and they were married on December 29, 1961. Almost 56 years later it was time to temporarily say goodbye as she stepped into eternity with Jesus on June 7th, 2017. They lived in Plentywood until she retired from the post office after 24 years. They farmed the Morken and Ross Homesteads for many years. For the past 20 years they have been the classic snowbirds, living at Glacier Bible Camp in the summer and Yuma, AZ for the winters. Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, and especially grandmother! Her grandkids were what she lived for. No one was more important to her than her grandkids… not even her one and only favorite Son-in-law! Judy loved Jesus passionately. She lived her life by the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) shining brightly in everything she did. She made it her personal mission to give Jesus to every one of her grandkids through her love and caring for them. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. David laughed and said: “I’ve bought thousands of them!” She also loved competitive games, letting no one win if she had anything to say about it.
She was preceded in death by parents, Willard and Joan Ross and Brother, Dale Ross. She is survived by Son Kyle (wife Sharron, kids Alicia/Sage/Riley, Melissa/Matt, and Kristopher/Nikki), Son Kevin (Wife DeAnn, kids Devan/Laura/Dawsyn, Janelle/Landon/Alisha, Jeff, and Michael), and Daughter Tammy (husband Randy, kids Amanda/Thane, and Matt/Megan).

Judy was loved by anyone who knew her and will be missed beyond what words could express. Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate her life on June 17, 2017 at 10:30am at the Glacier Bible Camp tabernacle, Hungry Horse, Montana.

In lieu of flowers, we will be giving a memorial to Glacier Bible Camp and Missionary Mary Ballenger. Columbia Mortuary is caring for the family.
