John Cicero Hughes, 47, died on Jan. 28, 2020.
He was born on June 15, 1972, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Karen and Max Hughes.
John attended Tarpon Spring High School in Palm Harbor, Florida, where he played string bass in the orchestra, which eventually brought him and the love of his life, Wendy Hughes, together. They married Oct. 15, 1988.
John served as OS3 in the United States Navy. He loved all things outdoors, music and history.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Hughes, Floy and Charles Britton, and Mary and Dr. Max Hughes.
John is survived by his wife, Wendy Hughes; his sons, John Jacob Hughes (Niki) and children, Trenton, Sofia, Liam and Riley Ann; Joshua Hughes and daughter Scarlett; Joseph Hughes (Kyley) and daughter Haisley; and Jackson Hughes; his father- and mother-in-law, Sonny and Robin Moran; brother-in-law Benjamin Moran; his nieces, Mikaila Shires (Landon) and children, Bentley and Everleigh; and Justice Moran.
He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
Funeral services will be held at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls today, Feb. 6. Public viewing will be at 2 p.m., followed by the service at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow at True Life Church in Whitefish.
