Gerald “Dean” Thompson, 70
Gerald “Dean” Thompson passed away on July 19, 2021 following a battle with cancer.
Dean was born on April 19, 1951 to Lloyd and Joyce Thompson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from La Mirada High School in California and went on to attend college in West Covina, studying and eventually becoming a farrier.
Dean met the love of his life Nancy “Elaine” Thompson at La Miranda Community Hospital where she nursed him back to health after a motorcycle accident. They married December 11, 1975 and he became an instant bonus dad to Mary (Gentry) Dorton and Jacob Gentry. In 1980 they would bring Noah Thompson into the world who would later give him grandchildren Emma (17) and Ayden (14).
Dean is preceded in death by parents Lloyd and Joyce as well as siblings, Nancy, Wayne, and Chuck.
Dean leaves behind wife Nancy, son Noah, Grandchildren Emma and Ayden, step children Mary and Jacob and their children Mariah and Robert Dorton, and Debra and Joshua Gentry, and Great grandchild Jacob Gentry.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday July 30 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls with a gathering after services. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family.
